Jean-Marie and I had a wonderful first day of the year! Jean-Marie hosted a brunch with another friend and it was great! We indulged over egg frittata with homemade salsa, pan fried baby potatoes, pumpkin croissant bread pudding, beer bread, and mimosas. It was great to spend a relaxed day with friends while all the kids played, and carried out general mischievousness (my daughter being one of the leading culprits, I must say)!
But among the conversations we talked about things creative, how to reduce our carbon foot print, recycling, being savvy with money, gardening, and of course how we are going to start dieting... tomorrow :)
Then we took our entourage to the park that is also on the beach (I love southern CA). And even though it was chilly, it was a beautiful day at the beach. Topped off with a salted carmel hot chocolate at Palermo. What could be better?
