10 Thank You's

Brit and I love to shake things up and do mini sprints, like abstaining from something for 10 days. In the past we have shocked our bodies (and do we mean SHOCK!) by not eating anything processed, sugar, or carbs for 10 days. Its amazing what 10 days can do for you! It feels liberating to have the will power and self control to succeed in saying "No" when you normally say, "Yes, I'll take 2!"

This month I have started a new schedule and part of the new schedule is to think postive and be happy with what I accomplish rather than go to bed at the end of the day wishing I had done more. So, far so good and I have to say I feel more accomplished than ever. Just look at what a little postivity can do to ones life! Brit wrote a post about a book called, "365 Thank You's: The Year a Simple Act of Daily Gratitude Changed My Life" (it's on my list of books to read) where John Kralik a lawyer spent everyday of one year writing a thank you note a day. You can listen to him on here on his NPR spot.  He did all this after a string of bad events hit him. He said he had no idea how big of an impact it would have on his life, and he was inspired by the repercussions of such a simple act.

So in the spirit of being a better version of ourselves, we want to take our positive thinking and turn it into actions as well.  So for the next 10 days we want to be thankful , so everyday we will have a new post about something that we appreciate in our lives.  This is a great reminder to really look for the good in your own life.

"Be the change that you want to see in the world."

What a great idea you two!! I love the sound of an "Accomplished List" than a "To-Do List' ! ;) By the way, both of you have inspired me to become more active too. I've started a walking/running schedule! Thanks again for all the motivation!
